I had incredibly low expectations going in to this, so I was pretty surprised when I realized that this book wasn’t just one big shit-show (pardon my language). While Ella is dealing with the aftermath of her accident, bullying in a new school, and returning to her online prescence, Brian is juggling the press junket, his annoying co-star whom he has to fake a relationship with, and his director-father whose team controls his entire life. to her absentee dad and his new family: a model-turned-stepmother and her twin daughters. ![]() Ella has found a best friend in Cinder, her online friend who she found through their mutual love of a sci-fi series that is about to be adapted into a movie, only Ella doesn’t know that Cinder is actually a well-known actor named Brian who is going to be playing the role of the male romantic interest.Ī major car crash kills her mother and leaves Ella in a coma for several weeks, so all communication between her and Cinder/Brian is cut off. ![]()
